This document applies only to our legacy clients that use http://mail.ihealthspot.com/ for their email. If you are one of our Google Standard email customers and you access your email via http://mail.Your-Domain.com, this document does not apply to you.

How to configure my outlook email client

When your website went live, you should have received an "outlook email guide", which shows you how to configure Outlook for your specific accounts. If you have that guide, please refer to it for the most complete instructions.

If you do not have that guide and you know your email address and email password, you may still be able to configure outlook by referring to the below:


Please note: During email configuration, be sure that you do NOT check the option "leave messages on the server." Our basic email plan includes LIMITED mailboxes of 10MB in size and if you leave messages on the server, you will eventually run out of space for new emails at which point new messages will be rejected.

What if I want to use different email clients (like Outlook Express, MAC-mail)?

You can configure most of the popular email clients for your email.

Can I use Web Mail?

Yes, our email service supports Web access of your email. Please visit http://mail.iHealthSpot.com. Your email address (which will be your username) and your email password will be required for login.

Web Mail requires NO special software on the computer (other than a web browser) and can be accessed via FireFox, Internet Explorer and Safari.

Please note: If you are using WEBMAIL as a backup to email on your computer (Outlook or another program), the messages you leave in Webmail will be downloaded to your computer once you perform SEND/RECEIVE. However, any messages you delete in WEBMAIL will be deleted from the server and will not download to your computer.

Furthermore, if you are using WEBMAIL as your ONLY email client, our basic email plan includes LIMITED mailboxes of 10MB in size. It will be necessary for you to cleanup your WEBMAIL email from time to time to ensure that you do not exceed your mailbox quota. WEBMAIL displays your quota usage on the very first screen after you login.

Can I use a mobile device like a PDA or a PHONE to check email?

Yes, our email service is compatible with any portable device that supports POP3, IMAP and SMTP. Although we don't directly support these devices, you can find plenty of information on the Internet on how to configure email on your device.

I can’t send and/or receive email

If your email has never worked before, please refer to the "outlook email guide" you were sent when your website first went live. This document shows you how to configure Outlook for your specific accounts. Please refer to it for the most complete instructions. Please contact us if you need another copy of your "outlook email guide."

If your email has worked before, check to make sure you have access to the Internet and/or call your local IT support for further assistance.

My email keeps asking me for a username/password

It is possible that somehow the email configuration is corrupt. Please refer to the "outlook email guide" you were sent when your account went live to reconfigure your email. If you need another copy of your guide, please contact us for a copy.

I keep getting messages about my mailbox being full

In order to manage resources properly, we restrict the size of our user's inbox. For this reason, it is important that you are using an EMAIL client (like Outlook) that continually checks your email and removes the messages from our server. Sometimes, users setup their email to "leave a copy of messages on the server." In this case, your mailbox will eventually reach the limit and further emails to your account will be rejected.

If you are getting this message, please make sure that your email program is NOT set as "leave a copy of messages" on the server. This is usually a checkbox on the email configuration screen. Our "outlook email guide" has information about how to configure your email account in Outlook with this setting.

If you are satisfied that your email program is removing messages and you are still getting this message, please access your mailbox via WebMail and cleanup your INBOX, DELETED ITEMS and SENT ITEMS folders. More information about WebMail is available in the WebMail Section of this help site.

Other Email Problems

If you’ve gone through the steps in the Email Guide and you are still unable to send and receive email, we would recommend that you contact your local IT support or computer administrator for assistance first. Your administrator can then call us with questions related to your setup. However, everything you need to send/receive email is provided in the Email Guide.

We monitor our servers 24x7x365 and we use the same email servers that our clients do. So, if there is an email problem at the server level, chances are we are well aware of this issue well before it affects you! You can check the status of our email services by visiting our Current Email Status page.

Because of this, most email problems are local in nature and are usually best resolved by your local computer support technician who has knowledge of the particulars of your network and your computer.
